Founded in around 1997, Dickory Docks Educational Day Nursery has been providing exceptional early years care and education in the heart of our community. Our name is inspired by the classic nursery rhyme — because we believe childhood should be full of joy, rhythm, and wonder.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, carefully designed to support every child's development across communication, physical development, personal and social skills, literacy, and mathematics. We monitor support each child's development individually. As one of the first daycare facilities to have been awarded the Symbols and Visuals Award, we can ensure all children thrive. Care for Every Stage
Tailored programmes for children aged 3 months to 5 years
Baby Room
Ages 3–24 months. A warm, sensory-rich environment with low staff-to-baby ratios for personalised care.
3 – 24 monthsToddler Room
Ages 2–3 years. Encouraging independence and early communication through play-based activities.
2 – 3 yearsPre-School
Ages 3–5 years. School-readiness focus covering phonics, number work, and social skills.

OFSTED Rated GOOD
We were rated Outstanding in 2015, and have now been rated GOOD in all areas of our previous inspection reports. We work hard to ensure we comply with all guidance from supporting agencies.
