Breakfast Club is planned as an optional early start for existing Dickory Docks families — breakfast, quiet play and a seamless move into the child’s usual room at 8am.
How Breakfast Club is planned to work
One handover. One calm start. Then straight into nursery.
The design of the service is deliberately simple: children arrive early, eat breakfast, have time for quiet play and then move into the room and routine they already know.
A warm welcome
One early handover rather than separating breakfast from the nursery day.
A proper breakfast
The concept menu includes simple breakfast foods such as cereal, toast, fresh fruit and milk or juice.
Quiet play
Books, stories and low-key play create a gentler start before the full nursery day begins.
Straight into the room
At 8am children move into their normal room and continue the day with familiar people and routines.
Why offer it
Useful for working parents. Thoughtful for children.
An earlier start is only helpful if it still feels like good early-years care. The proposed Breakfast Club avoids a rushed, transactional handover by creating time to eat, settle and reconnect before busier room activity begins.
For existing nursery rooms
Designed to feed naturally into the day.
The intention is that Breakfast Club supports children who already attend Dickory Docks, rather than creating a separate stand-alone childcare experience.
Baby Room
Early-start arrangements must still respect individual feeding, sleep and comfort routines.
Toddler Room
A calm breakfast and familiar play can help children transition into a more energetic day.
Pre-School
Children can eat, settle and then move directly into their established pre-school routine.

Breakfast Club runs Monday–Friday, 7:00–8:00am, for existing Dickory Docks families. Fill in the form below and the office will be in touch to confirm.
Breakfast Club conditions
- Available from Mon to Fri 7AM to 8AM, and followed by the regular sessions
- Price £7.60 per day per session (outside of the Grant sessions 8am to 6pm)
- The Club must be booked in advance, with 2 weeks’ notice to change. All booked sessions will be charged in addition to agreed weekly charges
- All children to be dropped off in the D-Block

The current concept proposes 7:00–8:00am, Monday to Friday. Final operating hours should be confirmed by the nursery before launch.
Will it be available to every room?
The intended model is to support children with an existing nursery place and then move them into their usual room at 8am. Final eligibility will be confirmed by the nursery.
What will breakfast include?
The current concept includes a simple breakfast such as cereal, toast, fruit and milk or juice. The final menu and allergen arrangements should be confirmed before launch.
How much will it cost?
No price is published in this build. The nursery should confirm the final charge as part of the launch information.
