How to Apply for a Place
First of all, please don't worry about placing your child in Nursery. Children settle down quite quickly, become independent, and then begin learning through play and make new friends!
To gain a place at nursery, please read following steps:
- Use the "Send Place Enquiry Form" button below to fill in and submit our Place Enquiry Form directly - no account or login needed.
- Complete all relevant sections, including any funding numbers and your national insurance number if applicable. All information will be held in the strictest confidence.
- Once you complete the Place Enquiry Form, you will be contacted to arrange a viewing. This will be an opportunity to see the nursery, the staff, ask any important questions. We ask that you bring along your child as you will be able to see how your child will settle into the environment.
- The Nursery Manager will assess your childcare needs and check a suitable place that meets yours and your child's needs is available.
- If a place offer is made, it will be for 7 days, and you will be able to accept it online and there will be a link to complete a Nursery Registration Form. This will ask for more detailed information about the child, parents details, dietary information, medical information and grand parents information. All of this will be used to create a Childcare Service Agreement.
- If a place is not available immediately, the Nursery Manager will let you know via email you can either chose to remain on the waiting list, or ask for your information to be removed from our system. All information will only be strictly kept in line with our GDPR policies.
- If a place comes up in the future, you will be contacted via email. If you still interested, then a Nursery registration Form link will be sent, and the process can commence.
- Once we have received the completed Nursery Registration Form, we will process it and let you know if there is a deposit and registration fee required.
- Once we have all the documents, we will contact you via email to arrange for a settling in process. At this point, you will need to bring the Birth Certificate, and see the child's "Red Book" containing all the immunisations for the child.
- Settling-in is usually 1 week before the agreed start date. There is no charge for these and are usually 1 hour long. You will also have an opportunity to read the Nursery Policies and Procedures, and sign that you have done so.
- When the child attends for the first time, staff will contact you if there are any concerns or the child appears to be upset in any way. Please ensure you bring all the items the child needs, such as dummies, comfort toys, etc. Also, any medicines must be labelled and left at the nursery.
- You will receive daily feedback and information on Tapestry and you will be able to add to the child's learning journey.
- Finally, we are on email or phone if you have any issues or concerns.
